Commercial Glass in Columbia & Lexington SC

From small offices to large retail sites, Sheppard’s Glass installs, repairs and replaces commercial glass across the Midlands. The four areas below cover most of what businesses call us for.
Storefronts & entrance systems
Plate glass storefronts, entrance doors and glass doors, including the framing and hardware that carry them. This is the most visible glass a business owns and the most frequently damaged.
Glass partitions & office doors
Interior partitions, office fronts and internal glass doors, in clear, frosted or privacy finishes. Common in office fit-outs where light needs to travel but sound and sightlines do not.
Curtain walls
Larger glazed facade systems on commercial buildings, including replacement of failed or damaged panels within an existing curtain wall.
Safety glass
Tempered and laminated safety glass where building code requires it — entrances, doors, sidelights and any glazing in a public space. We also offer custom metal cutting and fabrication for commercial construction and renovation projects.

Frosted and Privacy Glass for Commercial Spaces
Offices, conference rooms and storefronts often need light without sightlines. We install frosted glass panels, decorative and frosted vinyl film applied to existing glass, and privacy glass for partitions and interior doors. Film is the quicker route when the glass is already in place and you want a logo, a gradient or a banded pattern; a frosted panel is the better answer when the glass is being replaced anyway or the finish needs to last through heavy commercial use.
Typical requests we handle: conference room walls that need privacy without closing the room in, bathroom and shower partitions, office door vision panels, and storefront banding that gives passers-by a sightline break at desk height.
Emergency Commercial Glass Repair
A broken storefront or entrance door is not a job that waits until Monday. Sheppard’s Glass takes after-hours emergency calls, and if the glass is out and the space needs securing we can board up the opening the same day, then fit the replacement once the glass is in.
If a storefront has gone in outside normal hours, call the shop — the number is at the top of this page.
Sheppard’s Glass has been family owned and operated in the Columbia area for over 50 years, and commercial storefront and office work has been part of that from the start.

Commercial Glass Questions
Do you install frosted or privacy glass in offices?
Yes. We handle frosted glass panels, privacy glass and frosted or decorative film applied to glass you already have. Which one suits you comes down to whether the glass is being replaced anyway and how much wear the finish has to take.
Does Sheppard’s Glass serve Lexington, SC?
Yes. Lexington is part of our regular commercial service area, along with Columbia, West Columbia, Chapin, Irmo and Cayce.
What is the difference between commercial and residential glass installation?
Commercial work usually means larger panels, tempered or laminated safety glass to meet code in public spaces, storefront framing systems, and scheduling that works around your opening hours. Residential work is smaller-format and more finish-driven. The glass itself differs less than the framing, the code requirements and the logistics.
How long has Sheppard’s Glass been doing commercial work?
The company has been family owned and operated for over 50 years in the Columbia area, and commercial storefront and office glass has been part of that from early on.
Do you offer emergency commercial glass repair?
Yes. We take after-hours emergency calls, and where a storefront or entrance has been broken we can board up the opening the same day to secure the space until the replacement glass is fitted.
Do you serve businesses in Columbia and West Columbia?
Yes. Columbia and West Columbia are both part of our regular commercial service area, along with Lexington, Chapin, Irmo and Cayce. Our shop is on Platt Springs Road in West Columbia.
